Nationwide--   Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day is today!  Free entry to many participating museums, you can find a complete list at the site.  There is a required, downloadable ticket for free entry.

Winston-Salem-- Go Expo at the Benton Convention Center from 9:00am-4:00pm.  Activities will include a GO Kids kids zone will include planting stations, “100-mile diet” games, crafts, demonstrations, face painting, painting games, a library card sign-up station, and information for parents on how to help their kids grow up green.

Asheboro-- Family Fun Fest at Asheboro Friends Meeting. 230 E. Kivett St, Asheboro, NC A Free Family Fun Day! Popcorn, Sno Cones, Sunkist Drinks, Illusion Show, Moon Bounces, Slides, Games, Puppets, and the Good News Express.

Thomasville-- Everybody's Day!  Celebrate North Carolina's oldest festival with arts and crafts, carnival rides, games, food and activities!  Uptown Thomasville 9:00am-5:00pm. 


Colfax--  Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts Annual Community Fair will feature free crafts, songs, bouncy castle and demonstrations by local troops.  Lunch will be available for a small fee.The Madeline Dassow Learning Center , 8818 West Market Street, 10:00am-2:30pm.

Reidsville-- Free Bluegrass Concert at Market Square, 303 South Scales Street, 4:30pm-9:30pm.

Winston-Salem-- Forsyth Medical Center's Fall Festival 11am-4pm.  Enter through Bethesda Road Entrance off Hawthorne Road.  Free parking and free admission.  Festival food, fun and games, including a human hamster ball, dunk tank, bouncy house, potty-chair ball toss and more!  All proceeds will benefit the United Way of Forsyth County.

Jamestown--   Yesteryear in Motion, 3139 Dillon Road, 9:00am-4:00pm.  Displays and demonstrations harking back to an earlier, simpler time. Demonstrations include Molasses making, Cider Press, Old gas engines, Antique Farm Tractors, Blacksmithing, musical entertainment, food, games for all ages and so much more. Admission is free but donations will be accepted for the Jamestown Lions Club.
