Winston-Salem Jaycees Collecting Headwear for Cancer Patients

The Winston-Salem Jaycees are collecting head wear items to donate to the Duke Cancer Center until March 15, 2013.  Donated items can include new or unused hats (baseball caps, toboggans, men's and women's fashion hats, holiday themed hats, etc.), scarves and wigs.  Hats can be homemade or store bought.  The items will be used by patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Hats can be given to a board member at any Jaycee event.  Board members will be wearing a name tag.  For a calendar of their events go here.

You can also drop hats off during business hours at the Forsyth Tech Small Business Center, 601 W. Fourth Street, Winston-Salem (Contact: Ashlea Morrison)  or State Farm Insurance, 121 Vinegar Hill Road (Country Club and Peace Haven), Winston-Salem (contact: Rick Babusiak).

At the end of the head wear drive, the Jaycees will finish up with a fundraiser for Duke Cancer Center.  They are holding a Luck of the Irish Bingo Fundraiser on March 15 at 7:00pm, which will be open to the public.  Details are still being arranged, they will be posted here when finalized.
