Greensboro-- Blessing of the Animals, St. Francis Episcopal Church, 3506 Lawndale Drive. Activities, arts and crafts vendors, children's activities, groomer, pet trick and costume contests, music and food. Free parking at rear of the church.
Browns Summit-- Haw River State Park Open House, 2:00pm-6:00pm. Hikes, birding classes, a live bird show, birding activities and crafts for youths.
Whitsett-- Harvest Celebration at Peacehaven Community Farm! Everything is free! Live music, pig pickin', hayride, bonfire, petting pen, games, storyteller, farm exhibits, and more! 1458 NC Hwy 61. 4pm-7pm
Greensboro-- Parks and Recreation Fall Open House, 2400 16th Street, 1-6pm. Free community day at the Greensboro Sportsplex with sport demonstrations, pony rides, inflatables, and more!

Greensboro-- The Carolina Model Railroaders will open their doors at 10am-5pm. Z, N and HO layouts at The Depot, REA building, 234B E. Washington Street.
Concord-- A Touch of Yesterday, Historic Bost Grist Mill. $5 ages 5 and up, under 5 free. Vendors and displays of how life was lived in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Live entertainment, food, fun and games!
Kernersville-- K'ville Indie Flea from 8am-2pm. Check out the fantastic vendors. This week's is bigger than ever! The flea is now at 230 North Cherry Street, at the corner of Cherry and Armfield.

Greensboro-- Pink in the Park will be held at Center City Park in downtown from 10:30-1:30pm. This free event celebrates survivors and honors victims of breast cancer. There will be music and entertainment, prizes, and informational material.
