Much needed awareness. I support this movement because being an african-american male myself, and having a bi-racial son, I don't want this unnecessary evil brought down upon anyone else. I remember being a freshman at NCA&T and being pulled over by GPD police offers simply because we (there were 4 of us, students, all african-american, and I was a passenger) had one of those little knight rider lights in the grill of a 1977 brown Chevy Caprice classic. The 4 of us went home that day pissed off. It didn't take that many police offers to say "hey, you could be mistaken for an emergency vehicle so please remove that from the grill"!
